National Finalist OlivFresh Black Arbequina table olive.
For two years running OlivFresh Organic Olives has been the only Table olive and Tapenade producer in Australia to be selected as a Finalist in this prestigious Award.
After tasting their way through a record number of entries from right around the country, the judges have announced the delicious. Produce Awards 2011 finalists. The Produce Awards 2011 judges, from left: Alla Wolf-Tasker, Matt Moran, Maggie Beer, Philip Johnson and Cheong Liew.
 Feb 2011. "Opera in the Grove".
As part of our Annual Harvest Open Day, the acclaimed international Soprano Opera Singer Bernadette Fisher entertained the " Adopt an Olive Tree" members and friends at the OlivFresh "Wivenhoe Olive Estate" grove on Sunday 27th February 2011. A wonderful singer made a fantastic day enjoying friends and family in the Grove. Over 100 people attended including a Channel 7 production crew who filmed a segment for their " Queensland Weekend" programme. We'll certainly be doing it again next year !! This event is only open to "Adopt an Olive Tree" members.

I don't want to sound like an ad, but OlivFresh olives are my all time faves- I'm sure you've all heard me go on about these olives ad nauseum so I will try to refrain here. They are a family owned company, with an organic grove on the shores of Lake Wivenhoe.
They've recently started a scheme whereby you can sponsor one of their trees. For $55 a year, you get a numbered tree with a personal adoption certificate and photo of your tree, a gift pack of three olive products worth $31.50, a 10% discount in their online shop and an update on the progress of your olive tree. Then, on annual harvest day, you get to go to the grove and pick the olives off your tree to take home. They'll give you instructions on how to brine them and even recipes for tapenade.
